Advanced Processing Capabilities of FCR
1. Image Processing
(Gradation/Spatial Frequency)
Because CR images are digital, various types of image processing can be utilized
to enhance the image's diagnostic quality. The typical kinds of image processing
that have been used in daily practice include gradation processing, spatial frequency
processing, and dynamic range control processing.
Gradation processing is done via computer to optimize image contrast and optical
density. Image contrast can be adjusted as desired, in accordance with the type
of component and diagnostic purpose.
Image processing improves diagnostic accuracy and expands diagnostic scope.
Two types of image processing that are involved are: gradation processing and
spatial frequency processing.
